Why You Should Visit

Isuzu Chaya, the Japanese-Western confectionery brand run by Ise's famous Akafuku, holds a 14-day pop-up at the "Shiki Saiji" corner on the B1 Japanese sweets floor of Kobe Hankyu. The signature azuki cornet with wasanbon cream is available throughout, while two cornets new to Kobe Hankyu rotate weekly: the chestnut cornet from November 4 to 10, and the apple cornet from November 11 to 17. Autumn wagashi such as chestnut ohagi, sweet potato daifuku, kuri-kinton and whole-mandarin daifuku also switch between the first and second weeks, so check which week your favorite is on sale before you go.
