Ishibashi Shopping Street Summer Festival: Wakuwaku Hiroba 2026

Why You Should Visit

A neighborhood summer festival held each year in the retro arcade shopping street that runs west from Hankyu Ishibashi-handaimae Station in Ikeda, Osaka. Game booths line the arcade — ring toss, cork shooting, fortune draws and a prize-wheel lottery — and every booth costs just 100 yen a go. Frankfurters and popcorn are on sale too. It runs for only two hours in the early evening and is aimed at local families rather than tourists, which makes it an easy, low-key stop with small children.

Directly connected to the west exit of Ishibashi-handaimae Station on the Hankyu Takarazuka Line (about 20 minutes from Umeda). From the Osaka Monorail, transfer to Hankyu at Hotarugaike Station.

FAQ

How much does it cost to play?

Ring toss, cork shooting, fortune draws and the prize wheel are all 100 yen a go. Food such as frankfurters and popcorn is priced separately.

What time should we arrive?

It runs from 17:00 to 19:00 — just two hours — and closes early if the prizes run out, so arriving nearer the start is safer.

Is it suitable for small children?

Yes — the festival exists for local children, and most booths, such as ring toss and the prize wheel, are easy for small kids to join.

What happens if it rains?

The organizers have not announced a bad-weather policy. Check the Ishibashi Shopping Street website on the day.
