Why You Should Visit

A hands-on nature day for kids at Expo '70 Commemorative Park, run by the Senior Nature College, a certified NPO, under the motto "Nature is our friend — come on, kids!" Around 20 booths fill the Wakuwaku Pond Adventure Plaza: pine cone and acorn crafts, pine cone fishing and ring toss, sawing logs with a real saw, and quizzes on wildflowers, trees and wild birds. Volunteers show children how to make each craft, and they can take their creations home. No booking is needed and the activities are free, making it an easy autumn half-day out for families.
