Why You Should Visit
An open-air festival where "baku" (malt) means craft beer and "on" (sound) means rock, all paired with food from Ibaraki's local restaurants. Now in its 12th year since 2012, it takes over the Central Park grounds within walking distance of Hankyu Ibarakishi and JR Ibaraki stations. Twenty breweries from across Japan pour close to 150 kinds of draft craft beer, including Hokusetsu locals such as Minoh Beer, Kuninocho and 3TREE BREWERY, the only brewery in Ibaraki. Eight professional acts play the stage on both days, and watching the shows is free. Entry is free too; beer is sold by ticket (¥600 a glass). Two days for anyone who wants beer and live music under the autumn sky.
