Why You Should Visit
Hankyu Umeda's autumn British fair brings around 130 vendors to four spaces on the 9th floor. Each space has its own theme: classic food such as scones, fish and chips and pies; a bar modelled on a British pub; an afternoon tea market for tea, jam and sweets; and ceramics, vintage furniture and tartan goods. This year also marks 100 years since the birth of Queen Elizabeth II, and the tea room from the Royal Yacht Britannia is appearing in Japan for the first time. Part of the line-up changes after the closed day on 13 October.
