Why You Should Visit

One evening of full-on hide-and-seek inside Hanazono Rugby Stadium, Japan's home of rugby. Hiders can use areas normally off-limits, such as players' locker rooms and meeting rooms. Rules: 10 minutes to hide, then survive 20 minutes to win; anyone found joins the seekers, and rugby players are expected to take part as seekers. Four sessions run from late afternoon into night, the last one after dark. Open to anyone from elementary-school age; last year's first edition sold out.

FAQ

Can I join without booking?

Each session is capped at 100; same-day cash entry is possible only if a session still has space. The first edition sold out, so booking ahead is the safer option.

Can children take part on their own?

Open to elementary-school age and up. Junior-high age and under must be dropped off and picked up by a guardian.

What should I bring?

Dark long sleeves and trousers that are easy to hide in, plus a flashlight of 500 lumens or more. The last session takes place after dark, so a flashlight matters.

Is it held in the rain?

Yes, rain or shine. Covered stands, locker rooms and other indoor areas are among the hiding spots.
