Bizarre Market at Tarumi Center-gai 2026

Why You Should Visit

A small monthly market held on the last Saturday of the month in the covered Tarumi Center-gai shopping arcade, one minute from the east exit of Tarumi Station (JR / Sanyo). It is organised by the arcade's 1-chome merchants and run by Bizarre, a rare-plant shop in the arcade, so the stalls lean toward plants and living things: caudex plants and succulents, moss terrarium workshops, and displays of beetles and ornamental fish. Alongside them are handmade accessories, art, second-hand books and food such as cheesecake. Because it is under the arcade roof, weather is not a worry, and it is small enough to combine with shopping around the station. The September edition is on Saturday the 26th.

Is it held in the rain?

Yes. It takes place inside the covered arcade, so it goes ahead in wet weather.

Is it good for children?

Yes. Displays of beetles and ornamental fish and a moss terrarium workshop give children something to see and do, and the market is right by the station for a short visit.
