Why You Should Visit

A book-themed Halloween event in Rokutanji Minami Park, right outside Hanshin Nishinomiya Station. The nonprofit Tane to Shizuku brings its small-box bookshelf library into the park, and at the "Douzo Bookshelf" children can pick a donated book, gift-wrapped with a handwritten message, and take it home. Teenagers run stalls with games, frankfurters and workshops, local groups add their own workshops and games, and teen bands and poetry readers take the stage. Admission is free, making it an easy afternoon stop for families.
