Why You Should Visit
Itami's fireworks festival on the Inagawa riverbed, where about 3,500 shells go up over 45 minutes and the wide riverbank puts you almost directly beneath them. Usually a summer event, in 2026 it moves to 31 October, when the clearer autumn air sharpens the colours. The 2026 theme is "Light Festival", closing with music-synced star mines and Itami's signature layered golden weeping willow. Ten minutes on foot from JR Itami Station; the free viewing areas need no booking.
