Around Nittetsu Kohan SGL Stadium Amagasaki (Oda-minami Park, Daimotsu Park, Urakaze Elementary School, etc.) About a 5-minute walk from Daimotsu Station (Hanshin Main Line). There is no visitor parking near the venue; public transport is requested.

Why You Should Visit

Amagasaki's annual citizens' festival, held to celebrate the founding of the city. For its 55th edition, timed with the city's 110th anniversary, it moves to the Hanshin Tigers' farm-team ballpark, Nittetsu Kohan SGL Stadium Amagasaki, and the surrounding area, on the same day as the anniversary ceremony. Events are spread across zones: food and goods stalls in Daimotsu Park, a stage on the Oda-minami Park softball field, a kids' area plus exhibits and workshops at Urakaze Elementary School, and a danjiri float procession. PR ambassador Miho Fukutome is scheduled to appear.

FAQ

Is there an admission fee?
Admission is free; food, goods and some activities are paid. The 110th anniversary ceremony is also open to all.
Can I drive there?
There is no visitor parking near the venue, and visitors are asked to use public transport. The nearest station is Daimotsu on the Hanshin Main Line (about 5 minutes on foot). Temporary bicycle parking is available at Inagawa Park, the east side of Amagasaki Daimotsu Hospital and the former Hanshin Riding School site.
What happens if it rains?
The anniversary ceremony goes ahead in rain and is cancelled only in severe weather. The danjiri procession may be cancelled depending on the weather.
Are there activities for children?
The kids' area on the Urakaze Elementary School grounds has an inflatable Amagasaki Castle, mascot shows and performances by the Amagasaki Boys and Girls Music Corps. High school students also run fair games for children at the student plaza.
