Why You Should Visit

A free concert built around the quena, the Andean bamboo flute, with ensembles also playing charango, guitar and piano. The 62nd edition takes place at Fureai Plaza Akashi Nishi in Futami, Akashi. Six acts perform, including the quena ensemble Miércoles, the Akashi Quena Circle (AKS), the trio Andes Sanninkai on charango, guitar and flute, and the organisers AKP (Akashi Quena Project) themselves. No booking is needed, so you can simply drop in on a Sunday afternoon — a good chance to hear the quena played live.
