Why You Should Visit

A one-day pop-up of Danish life in Kyoto, put together by people who lived in Denmark as students or on working holidays. At sai GALLERY Fable you will find Nordic staples like cardamom rolls and coffee, Copenhagen-style hot dogs and rye-bread open sandwiches, alongside ceramics, textiles and flea-market finds from Scandinavia, knitting and darning workshops and a free second-hand corner. From 13:00 the vendors pass a mic around for a live podcast about everyday Denmark. The market is free to drop into with no booking.

FAQ

Do I need to book?

The 11:00-16:00 market is free to drop into. Only the evening communal dinner needed booking, and it is already full.

Is it OK to come alone?

Yes. The event is designed around meeting people who share an interest in Denmark, and even the dinner seats guests at random.

Can I drive there?

There is no parking at the venue. Coin parking exists nearby, but the venue is a one-minute walk from Keihan Shinomiya Station, so the train is easier.
