Why You Should Visit

A two-day outdoor festival held in a meadow beside the Kyoto Prefectural Seminar House, deep in the Keihoku mountains of northern Kyoto City. Running since 2017, it brings together art installations, makers selling their crafts, workshops using natural materials, and stalls serving organic and international food. On stage you'll hear music and dance from around the world, including Tsugaru shamisen, flamenco guitar, traditional Kazakh music, a Romanian ritual dance and Mediterranean bagpipes. Under-18s and over-60s get in free, making it a good day out for families who want to spend an autumn day in the Kyoto countryside.
