A special exhibition tied to the 2026 NHK Taiga drama, gathering artifacts of Toyotomi Hidenaga — the drama's protagonist — and his brother Hideyoshi. The 149 items include Hidenaga's portrait, letters and tea caddy, plus battle-scene folding screens, swords, Noh costumes and tea utensils. Held at the Osaka Museum of History, a short walk from Osaka Castle, so you can pair it with the actual Toyotomi sites. Exhibits rotate between the first (to Aug 3) and second (from Aug 5) halves.

When is it closed?

Closed on Tuesdays, except Aug 11 (a holiday) and Aug 12, when it stays open.

Do kids pay admission?

Junior high schoolers and younger enter free. High school and university students pay 1,000 yen at the door (800 yen advance).

Does the content change between halves?

Japan's only dedicated coffee museum returns to Kobe's Port Island on July 1, 2026 after a six-year closure.
