Why You Should Visit

A marche filling the Asuka banquet room on the third floor of Hotel Takezono Ashiya, in front of JR Ashiya Station. This nineteenth edition brings 60 booths. They cluster into four areas — food and drink, fortune telling and counselling, beauty and wellbeing, accessories and homeware — from rice-flour baked goods and small-batch preserves to tarot and sanmei readings and foot massage. It is all indoors, so the weather does not matter.

NOTE

An indoor marche hosted by Hotel Takezono Ashiya, in front of JR Ashiya Station, taking over the whole Asuka banquet room on the third floor. The edition on 9 September 2026 is the nineteenth.

Stalls fall into four areas. Seven cover food and drink, with rice-flour bakes, fermented seasonings, honey and wagashi from makers around Ashiya and the Banshu region. Nineteen cover beauty and wellbeing, offering Taiwanese reflexology, head spa, breathing work and blood-flow measurement on the spot. Fifteen offer fortune telling and counselling, and nineteen sell accessories and homeware, from handmade jewellery to Banshu-ori stoles and textiles dyed in the kinsen waters of Arima Onsen.

Shopping, eating and hands-on treatments all sit on one floor, so a short visit still covers everything. It is easy to move around with a pushchair, and the scale suits a casual trip from Ashiya, Nishinomiya or eastern Kobe.
