Why You Should Visit

Osaka rapper Red Eye, who grew up in Suminoe Ward, hosts a year-end music festival on home turf at Creative Center Osaka, the converted Namura shipyard in Kitakagaya. Entry is free, and from 1 pm to 10 pm Red Eye is joined on stage by names including Hannya and SHINGO★Nishinari. Plenty of food stalls set up on site, so you can eat between sets; outside food and drink are not allowed. A good pick if you want to catch Japanese hip-hop live in Osaka at the end of the year without paying for a ticket.

Rose to notice by reaching the top four at the 12th High School Rap Championship in 2017, then won the 16th edition in 2019. In February 2025 he became the youngest rapper ever to headline a solo show at the Nippon Budokan ("Shonen A"). In 2026 he is holding all of his own events with free admission.
