Why You Should Visit
A three-day fair devoted to handmade-craft materials, held at KIITO in Kobe twice a year, in summer and autumn. Stalls sell threads, fabric, leather, glass, stones, metal, wood, paper and tools, including unusual materials from small workshops, makers' warehouse stock and vintage finds from abroad. Lectures and workshops, such as hands-on thread making, run across all three days. One ¥500 ticket covers all three days, and children of junior-high age or younger enter free. A good stop if you make jewelry or do crafts and want to source materials in one place.
