Why You Should Visit

Smile Marche is a market run by the Smile Marche committee on Canal Town Plaza, right outside the south exit of JR Hyogo Station. The same organisers also hold markets at Harborland and Suma Beach Park. The May 2026 edition brought around 16 market stalls and food trucks, with handmade goods, workshops and street food, plus GOGO Circuit, where kids and adults drive electric bikes and cars around a small track. The autumn edition runs for five days, 30 October to 3 November, and is currently recruiting stallholders and stage performers. Being next to the station, it is easy to drop in between trains or shopping.

Where is the venue?

Canal Town Plaza, the station-front plaza on the south side of JR Hyogo Station (Ekiminami-dori 5-chome, Hyogo-ku). It is just outside the south exit.

Is this separate from the Smile Marche at Harborland?

Same organisers, different venue and dates. The Harborland edition at Takahama Wharf is on 7 (Sat) and 8 (Sun) November 2026.

Does it go ahead in the rain?

It is held outdoors, so bad weather may change or cancel the programme. Same-day decisions are posted on the organisers' Instagram.
