Why You Should Visit

A one-day music festival held inside the train depot at Itakiso Station on the Wakayama Electric Railway Kishigawa Line, where the trains usually rest. Organised by Professor Motohiro Adachi's seminar at Wakayama University, it brings student bands and local amateur rock groups to the depot stage. There are also food stalls with rice-flour scones and onigiri, hands-on crafts such as moss terrariums and bleeding-ink art, and a kids' fair. Admission is free, and the station is right at the venue, so it is easy to come by train and spend half a day listening to live music.
