Why You Should Visit
An Oktoberfest hosted by DSK International School Kobe (DSKI) on Rokko Island. The school holds the record for Japan's first Oktoberfest, and in 2026 its 72nd edition opens to the public for the first time, spilling out from the campus onto the island's Event Plaza. Outside you will find German beer and sausages, food trucks and stalls from Kansai restaurants, live Bavarian music by the Edelweisskapelle, and a special program by Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart. Inside the school, the PTA runs kids' activities, a cafe with homemade cakes, and a tombola raffle with a real German cuckoo clock as a prize, so families can easily spend the whole day.
