Price & booking: Adults (junior high and up) ¥1,500; children (age 4 to elementary school) ¥800. Advance tickets ¥1,300 / ¥700. Free for children 3 and under and for holders of a disability certificate. No registration needed — you can pay at the door. Advance tickets are sold from July 25 to 23:59 on September 20 via Asoview!, Rakuten Travel, Seven Ticket, Ticket Pia, Lawson Ticket, e+ and CN Playguide. Same-day tickets are also sold at the venue. Outlets and codes are listed on the official Osaka ticket page.
Venue & access: INTEX Osaka, Halls 1 and 2 Transfer at Cosmosquare Station (Osaka Metro Chuo Line) to the New Tram Nanko Port Town Line and get off at Nakafuto Station; about a 5-min walk. By car, use the temporary lots near the venue (the rooftop car park cannot be used when carrying pets).

Why You Should Visit

The Osaka edition of Japan's large-scale pet expo, centred on dogs and cats. Halls 1 and 2 of INTEX Osaka fill with food and apparel stalls, but most of the floor goes to things you actually do: a sports day your own dog can enter, a 30m dash, a petting farm with small animals and reptiles, and perching sessions with birds. A TICA-sanctioned cat show and a cat grooming contest run on different days. Pets with up-to-date vaccinations can come along, and visitors without one can simply walk the floor.

FAQ

Can I bring my pet?

Yes, if your pet is up to date on its vaccinations. Dogs over 91 days old must have had a rabies shot. Visitors with pets enter through the West Gate and must keep leads short. Aggressive animals are not admitted.

Is it worth going if I don't have a pet?

Yes. The petting farm with small animals and reptiles, hand-perching with birds, and watching the cat and dog shows are all open to visitors without a pet, and you can browse the stalls and food trucks freely.

Does it go ahead in the rain?

It runs as planned in the rain — everything is inside the exhibition halls at INTEX Osaka, including the sports day and the contests.
