Why You Should Visit

A free, family-friendly sewer-system event run jointly by Osaka Prefecture and its cities and towns. It moves to a different venue each year, and in 2026 it takes over Joy Plaza at AEON Mall Ibaraki for one day. Kids can learn how sewers work through flood-prevention models and a clog experiment, then make their own manhole-cover badge or spin manhole-cover tops. A wall of designer manhole cards from municipalities across Osaka is on display, and filling in a survey gets you a manhole card or other goods while stocks last. There is no cap on numbers, so it is easy to drop in while shopping at the mall.
