Why You Should Visit

A one-day event marking the third anniversary of Onikuru, Ibaraki's culture and childcare complex. Themed as a "trade fair" of local activity, it fills the whole building from the ground floor to the roof: a puzzle hunt around the building, live sets by rock bands from ten local high schools, a coffee gathering of roasters from around the region, and portable exhibits from the National Museum of Ethnology, all running at once. Entry is free and you can come and go; the only paid item is a special planetarium show (¥100). Good for families wanting a full day indoors with kids, or anyone curious about groups active in Ibaraki.
