Oishi Youth Association Summer Event 2026

Dates & time: August 22, 2026 (Sat) 17:30–19:30（小雨決行・売り切れ次第終了）
cost: Free to enter. Stalls use a ticket system; yakisoba, shaved ice, yo-yo fishing and the rest are ¥200 each.
Venue & access: Park in front of Saigo Community Exchange Center, Oishi-kitamachi, Nada-ku, Kobe About a 2-minute walk (120 m) south from Oishi Station on the Hanshin Main Line. There is no parking at the venue.

Why You Should Visit

A neighbourhood summer evening run each year by the youth association of Oishi in Nada Ward. Stalls selling yakisoba, shaved ice and yo-yo fishing line up in the park in front of the Saigo Community Exchange Center, all priced at ¥200. You buy tickets first and hand them over at each stall. A decorated mikoshi (portable shrine) is on display as usual. For 2026 the start has been pushed back to 17:30 to avoid the worst of the heat, running two hours until 19:30. A small, unhurried local festival where the children of the district gather.

Can I pay the stalls in cash?

The event uses a ticket system: buy tickets at the venue first, then use them at the stalls. Everything costs ¥200.

Is it cancelled if it rains?

It goes ahead in light rain. Any decision in bad weather is announced on the organiser's Instagram (@0014seinenkai).
