Why You Should Visit

A career-education afternoon in Kakogawa where primary-school kids try out the jobs of local companies through games. Carry a quest pass from booth to booth collecting stamps, solve company problems with your own ideas in "You're the CPO!", report a story and get a newspaper page printed under your own byline, or build an action game in the programmer workshop. Free with advance registration, for primary-school children and their parents. The August edition in Kobe drew 1,563 visitors.

You're the CPO!: company problems appear as monsters, and kids defeat them with their own ideas. Clear them all for a certificate
Newspaper reporter: gather stories around the venue and make an original page under your own byline
Game creator / programmer: build and play your own action game, with staff on hand so younger kids can join in

Can we just show up on the day?

Advance registration is the rule. The press release says some same-day entry is possible, but to be sure of a place, register in advance via the application form.

Who is it for?

Primary-school children and their parents. The game creator / programmer workshop has staff on hand, so it works for younger grades too.

Does it go ahead in the rain?

Yes. It's held indoors in the art exhibition room of the SHOWA Group General Cultural Center.
