Why You Should Visit

A community sports day open to everyone, regardless of age, gender, disability or athletic ability. The aim is connection rather than competition — between those taking part, cheering and helping — and every participant gets a gold medal. Events include a giant 5 m ball toss, a candy-grab race, a borrow-a-person race and a stadium-style wave everyone makes together. At lunch, 2010 Japan air guitar champion Sunany leads an air guitar class. It is held on the sports ground of Komista Kobe near Kasugano-michi Station; free, no registration. This is the first edition, organised by NPO CoNNeCT.
