Dates & time: November 8, 2026 (Sun) 10:00–15:00 (opening ceremony from 9:30)
Price & booking: Food stalls and sales are paid individually / advance ticket with lucky-draw entry: ¥500 Advance tickets with lucky-draw entry (¥500) are sold at Window 11 of the Community Development Office on the 1st floor of Minami Ward Office, on weekdays from Thursday, October 15 to Friday, November 7.
Venue & access: Karahashi Saiji Park About an 8-minute walk from Nishioji Station on the JR Kyoto Line (about 1 minute from the Saiji-mae stop on City Bus route 16). There is no parking at the venue.

Why You Should Visit

An annual autumn community festival held at Karahashi Saiji Park in Kyoto's Minami Ward. Food stalls serve udon, yakitori and Toji mochi alongside shooting galleries and bouncy-ball scooping, and a corner sells freshly picked vegetables grown in the ward. There is also a woodworking workshop for children, performances by local students and a chance to try the Finnish throwing game Mölkky, making it an easy half-day outing for families. The park is within walking distance of JR Nishioji Station.

FAQ

Is the festival held if it rains?

It goes ahead in rain, but may be cancelled in severe weather. Whether it is on can be checked from 8:00 on the day via Kyoto Itsudemo Call (075-661-3755). Boots and raincoats are recommended on rainy days.

Can I come by car?

There is no parking at the venue, and visitors are asked to use public transport. It is about 8 minutes on foot from JR Nishioji Station, or about 1 minute from the Saiji-mae stop on City Bus route 16.

How do I join the lucky draw?

You need the advance ticket with lucky-draw entry (¥500), sold on weekdays from October 15 to November 7 at Window 11 of the Community Development Office, 1st floor of Minami Ward Office.
