On Nov 7 (Sat) 8:00–20:30 main-lane restrictions apply near the Semba-Chuo 3, Shinbashi and Namba intersections, and parts of the side lanes are closed Nov 6–8. Drivers should detour via Naniwa-suji or Matsuyamachi-suji.

Why You Should Visit

For three days, Osaka City opens up the side lanes and sidewalks of Midosuji, the city's main boulevard, as places to linger. From Umeda-Shindo down to Namba Nishiguchi you'll find the Midosuji Music Festival playing across four zones, a disaster-preparedness fair with emergency vehicles on display, kids' workshops, test rides and exhibits of next-generation mobility from Expo 2025, and rest areas. On Nov 7 and 8 a stage at Namba Hiroba hosts student bands, Awa Odori dancers and Nanchi geiko performers. A QR stamp rally runs along the route, making it a good excuse to walk Midosuji north to south and drop in wherever looks interesting.

FAQ

Is there an admission fee?
Walking the route and watching is free. Most booth activities are free, though a few charge a fee.
Is the program the same on all three days?
No. Nov 6 (Fri) is mainly the Umeda-Shindo to Shinsaibashi side. The Namba Hiroba stage, AmeMura Culture Market and the Semba & Midosuji Dog Fest run Nov 7–8, and the Midosuji Disaster Preparedness Fest is Nov 7 only.
Can I drive there?
On Nov 7 (Sat) main lanes of Midosuji are restricted, and parts of the side lanes are closed all three days. The Osaka Metro Midosuji Line is the easiest way to get there.
