Why You Should Visit

A three-day special exhibition at B.B.S. Event Dining, on the basement floor of Grand Prince Hotel Osaka Bay in Osaka Nanko, designed as an easy first encounter with Noh, Japan's classical masked theatre. A roughly 300-inch LED screen shows Noh plays such as Shakkyo, with Tsuchigumo as a beginner's first Noh, and a "Noh × VR" corner lets you experience it in virtual reality. Real Noh masks and costumes from the collection of the Shukugawa Noh Stage Gashoen are on display for these three days only, and limited matcha and Japanese sweets are served while supplies last. On November 23 (national holiday), Noh performers give gallery talks with a hands-on Noh experience. Admission is free with no booking, making it a relaxed way to see Noh up close for the first time.

Admission is free and open, with no booking needed. The November 23 gallery talks also require no booking.

When can I hear Noh performers speak?

On November 23 (national holiday), at 13:00 and 15:00. There are no gallery talks on November 21 and 22.

16:45. The exhibition is open 11:00–17:00.
