Why You Should Visit
For one night only, Maizuru's Asobiamu child-rearing center opens after dark. Inside, kids play with light using foil, mirrors, colors and shadows; outside there's a night mission to find hidden letters around the grounds and a bubble finale on the mound. Six local kodomo shokudo (community kitchens for kids) set up stalls in the plaza with karaage, takoyaki and curry plus games like target shooting and fish scooping. It's the second edition after last year's popular night opening, and entry is free — a cozy autumn evening out for families.
