Venue & access: Shorenjigawa Park (Chidoribashi–Morisubashi and nearby) & Konohana Ward Ikkyu Hall Right by Chidoribashi Station on the Hanshin Namba Line. There is no parking and visitors are asked not to come by car (bicycle parking available).

Why You Should Visit

Konohana Ward's community festival has run for over 50 years, and this year it moves to Shorenjigawa Park for the first time. Nearly 60 booths from local groups, companies, the police and fire service line the park: yakitori, fried chicken and taiyaki stalls, shooting galleries and bouncy-ball scooping, plus patrol-car and mini fire-engine photo spots with uniforms to try on. The open-air stage runs from danjiri festival music and yosakoi dance to hula, school wind bands and dance studios, ending with a dance battle final and a prize draw. The bouncy dome and mölkky are free, so it suits families for half a day.

Does it go ahead in rain?

It goes ahead in light rain and is cancelled in stormy weather. There is no rain date.

Can I drive there?

There is no parking and visitors are asked not to drive. Chidoribashi Station on the Hanshin Namba Line is right next to the park, and there is bicycle parking.

Is there anything for small children?

The bouncy dome (ages 4–12; under-4s with a guardian) and mölkky are free. There are also game booths such as shooting, bouncy-ball scooping and yo-yo balloon fishing.
