cost: The announcement does not mention an admission fee. Food and goods at the stalls are paid.
Venue & access: JGSDF Camp Yao (Yao, Osaka) There is no public parking; visitors are asked to come by public transport. Bicycles and motorbikes can park at the Play Lot square north of the main gate, and Shiki Junior High School also opens as bicycle parking from 18:00 (not before).

Why You Should Visit

JGSDF Camp Yao, next to Yao Airport, opens its grounds for an evening of Kawachi Ondo dancing and fireworks. The camp's fireworks show is usually held in summer; this year it moves to autumn, paired with Kawachi Ondo. At 19:00 Kawachiya Kikusuimaru, a leading Kawachi Ondo singer, takes the stage, and the fireworks go up at 20:00. Food stalls selling yakisoba, karaage, takoyaki, baby castella and more line three areas, alongside JSDF merchandise stands and a recruitment booth. There's no public parking, and picnic sheets can only be spread in the designated visitor sheet area.

FAQ

Can I drive there?

There is no public parking, and visitors are asked to use public transport. The organizers also ask people not to park at Yao Airport, on nearby roads or at shopping facilities.

What happens if it rains?

It is postponed to the next day in bad weather. Camp Yao says it will announce whether it goes ahead on X around noon on the day.

Can I spread a picnic sheet anywhere?

Only in the visitor sheet area. The sponsor seating is reserved for sponsors and guests.
