Why You Should Visit

Habikino, long known as a meat town in southern Osaka, holds its fourth meat festival in 2026 at Ishikawa River Park, a short walk from Kintetsu Komagaya Station. Around 40 food booths line the riverside. Highlights include a corner for tasting five cuts of Japanese Black wagyu side by side, sales of the local abura-kasu (crispy beef offal) dish "miso", and free tastings of abura-kasu hamburg steak. Local wine, umeshu plum liqueur and craft beer are on sale, and a fair-game corner keeps kids busy. Entry is free.
