Youth and under-18 ticket holders must show proof of age on the day.
Venue & access: ROHM Theatre Kyoto, South Hall About 10 minutes' walk from Exit 1 of Higashiyama Station (Tozai subway line), or right by the "Okazaki Koen ROHM Theatre Kyoto / Miyakomesse-mae" stop on city buses 32 and 46.

Why You Should Visit

Dumb Type, the Kyoto-born artist collective, presents its first new performance since 2002 — 24 years in the making. The piece was due to premiere at ROHM Theatre Kyoto in March 2020 but was cancelled due to COVID-19, leaving only a screening of recorded footage that October. It now opens as part of the theatre's 10th-anniversary program, with Kyoto's four shows the only performances in Japan, before travelling to Berliner Festspiele in January 2027. A chance to see the collective's blend of video, sound, light and bodies live on stage.

Can children attend?

Preschool children cannot enter. There is a ¥1,000 ticket for ages 18 and under (bring proof of age). Bookable childcare is available for the 14:00 show on Sunday, December 13.

Is Kyoto the only place to see it in Japan?

Yes — Kyoto has been announced as the only venue in Japan, with four shows on December 11–13, followed by performances at the Berliner Festspiele in January 2027.

Who can use the youth ticket?

Anyone aged 29 or under, for ¥3,000. Bring proof of age on the day.
