An autumn festival at Awashima Shrine in Kada. Since the enshrined deity Sukunahikona-no-Mikoto is regarded as the god of sake brewing, amazake made from new-harvest rice is offered in thanks. Worshippers receive free amazake, said to bring good health through the coming winter. It's a different side of a shrine better known for its doll-memorial rites.
