Why You Should Visit

A summer evening festival at Nishinomiya Shrine, head shrine of Ebisu the god of fortune, held for the Natsu-Ebisu rites. The centerpiece is a tasting of two Yebisu draft beers — a brand with deep ties to the shrine — alongside local food stalls from the surrounding temple-town that fill the grounds with regional specialties. There are also a Kinan plum market, a special Kobe Monkeys performance, and kids' game stalls. Pay respects at the Araebisu shrine for luck in money and contests while enjoying two summer nights.
