About 10 min on foot (0.6 km) from Kintetsu Toji Station, or about 15 min (1.1 km) from the Hachijo exit of JR Kyoto Station. By car, the temple car park charges ¥600 per 2 hours (¥300 per extra hour); it is closed on the 21st of every month for the Kobo-ichi market.

There are 6 car parks within a 12-minute walk of Toji Temple (Kyoogokokuji), and 6 public restrooms within 8 minutes. The map shows each with its walking time.

• Night viewing of the Kondo (National Treasure)

• Treasure Museum autumn exhibition on the art and history of the pagoda: Sep 20 - Nov 25, 9:00-17:00 (last entry 16:30)
• Daytime combined ticket: adults ¥1,500 (Sep 20 - Oct 30), ¥2,000 including the pagoda first floor (Oct 31 - Nov 25)
