Venue & access: 19 venues around Tenma (Kita Ward Civic Center, Ogimachi Museum Cube CUBE01 and more) Venues are spread around JR Temma Station (Osaka Loop Line), Ogimachi and Minami-morimachi stations (Osaka Metro Sakaisuji Line) and Temmabashi Station (Keihan / Osaka Metro). No parking information is given.

Why You Should Visit

Running every year since 2000, this one-day festival turns the whole Tenma neighbourhood into a venue. Live sets run simultaneously at 19 spots — a ward civic centre, a museum, a school's open ground floor, a temple lecture hall, churches, live houses, a bistro and bars — with bands of every genre, pro and amateur. Entry is free (a few venues ask for one drink), so you can wander between Tenjinbashi-suji shopping street and Ogimachi Park and hop between whatever catches your ear. A good fit for a Sunday of bar-hopping in Tenma with music thrown in.

Concept: 'making sound, making friends, making the town'. Started in 2000 by local musicians and kept going by residents, businesses and the ward
Schools, temples, churches, restaurants, live houses and halls around town all become stages
Past editions have included tie-ups with a railway company and live sets on boats on the Okawa River

Is there an entry fee?

All venues are free to enter. Some venues, such as restaurants and bars, ask you to order one drink.

How do I find out who plays where and when?

The 'Performers' section of the official site lists bands and times by venue number. Start and finish times differ by venue.

Can I walk between venues?

Most venues lie between JR Temma Station, Temmabashi and Ogimachi and are walkable. The southernmost, Bar One in Uchihirano-machi (Chuo-ku), is just across the Temmabashi bridge.
