Tarugo Ichi is a sale held at the main store of Tarugoya Gohei, a Kobe maker of tsukudani and seafood products in Hyogo Ward. This 14th edition again features the popular live salmon-cutting sale, with Canadian sockeye and Hokkaido autumn salmon cut to order. Also on offer are extra-large grilled conger eel and grilled mackerel cooked that morning, morning-grilled Hokkaido saury, bonito tataki made from Kochi's autumn bonito, and dorome (raw whitebait). It is a short walk from Chuo-Ichibamae Station on the Kaigan subway line, and suits anyone looking to stock up on seafood.
