Why You Should Visit
A two-day "nature culture festival" at the Osaka Museum of Natural History in Nagai Park. More than 100 groups and individuals, from nature-watching clubs and local conservation groups to museums from around the region and companies, run booths with activity displays, specimens, crafts and games, and nature-themed works for sale. There are also talks and symposiums, and guided nature walks in Nagai Park and the Nagai Botanical Garden. Both days fall on Kansai Culture Day, so the museum's main building and the botanical garden are free to enter. A good full day out for kids who love animals, plants or fossils.
