Why You Should Visit

A three-day street event in Michiniwa, the name given to the Sannomiya Hondori Shopping Street and Center South area between Sannomiya and Motomachi. On Oct 31 the jazz-funk band K-106 plays while walking the streets and a roadside stargazing session follows in the evening; on Nov 1 the Kobe samba team Feijão Preto parades with drums and dancers; on Nov 3 six student jazz combos play outside Sannomiya Shrine and the Kobe University Symphony Orchestra performs on Ikuta Road. Everything is free to watch or join, so it is easy to drop in while shopping in central Kobe.

All programs are free to watch or join.

Do I need to book?

Only HERB TABLE (Nov 3, 20 people) requires advance registration, closing Oct 31 at 12:00. Everything else needs no booking.

What happens if it rains?

It depends on the program: some move into the arcade, some are postponed and some are cancelled. Same-day updates are posted on the official Instagram (@michiniwa_sannomiya).

Is anything on Nov 2?

No programs are held on Mon Nov 2. The event runs on Oct 31, Nov 1 and Nov 3.
