Why You Should Visit

To mark 20 years of the Kobito Dukan picture books, Blumen Hügel farm park in Hino, Shiga, hosts a three-day Kobito event over the October long weekend. The highlight is the Kobito Maze, an inflatable maze paired with a stamp rally around the park. There's also a 2-meter Kakure Momojiri balloon, a dress-up photo spot where you become a kobito, peep-box dioramas, storytime sessions and a film screening — everything except the maze is covered by park admission. The park cafés serve a limited-time collaboration menu. Best for families with preschool and elementary-age kids who love the books.
