Why You Should Visit

Twice a year, in spring and autumn, the row houses of Kita no Kita Nagaya in Nakatsu, Osaka open their alleys and garden for an "anything-goes" market. Expect food from around the world, sweets, bread and bagels, curry, craft beer, sake and wine, alongside accessories, clothing, hats and art. There are also hands-on stalls for massage, kintsugi repair, acupuncture, fringe trims and fortune telling. The usually quiet nagaya turns festive for just these few days, a minute from Nakatsu Station and an easy detour from Umeda.
