Why You Should Visit

A local autumn festival at Michi-no-Eki Kannabe Kogen in Hidaka, Toyooka, held together with JA Tajima's Hidaka Fureai Festival. 2026 marks the 35th edition and the first since the roadside station reopened after renovation. The car-park stage runs through taiko, folk dance, a dance show and a prize quiz, with free pounded mochi and a scramble for 1,500 mochi. Stalls sell fried chicken, pork miso soup, salt-grilled trout and Kannabe daikon, so it makes an easy half-day out for families.

From 13:30 on the stage, with 1,500 mochi, some with prizes. Prizes are exchanged at the headquarters tent from 13:50.
