Why You Should Visit
For two days, around 40 makers and food producers picked by the Japanese guidebook Cotrip fill HDC Kobe, right by JR Kobe Station. Expect Banshu-ori and hand-dyed textiles, letterpress from Onomichi, wasanbon sweets from Kagawa and fruit from Awaji, with producers coming from Hyogo all the way to Tohoku and Shikoku. Workshops on the fifth floor cover kintsugi, wagashi and chopstick carving. Everything is indoors, so rain does not spoil the plan.
