Why You Should Visit
The first large-scale exhibition to span the entire Ghost in the Shell anime franchise arrives at the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art after its Tokyo run. More than 1,600 items — original drawings, setting materials and storyboards from the series directed by Mamoru Oshii, Kenji Kamiyama and others — trace how the world of the series was built. The Kansai leg adds material from the new 2026 anime Ghost in the Shell: THE GHOST IN THE SHELL. A separate ticket is available for the AR experience Ghost in the Shell: Cyberbrain VISION.
