Why You Should Visit

A takoyaki party at EGGPLANT, a cafe-bar in Sannomiya, where everyone takes a turn at the griddle. It's a relaxed get-together for anyone who hasn't made takoyaki in a while — nobody here is a pro, so lopsided balls are fine. Grill, drink, and share what comes off the plate. If 10 people show up, there's also a round of Russian roulette takoyaki: one ball hides a surprise, and whoever gets it receives 100 yen off a drink. Drop-ins welcome.

NOTE

Three house rules

  • No backseat grilling
  • Everyone grills together (nobody's a pro)
  • Don't worry if it isn't round

Russian roulette takoyaki

  • Whoever gets the one surprise ball receives 100 yen off a drink
  • Held if 10 people gather

FAQ

Do I need to book?
No booking is needed; you can just drop in on the day. The sign-up form and DMs are only to get a rough headcount.
Is it OK if I've never made takoyaki?
Yes. The house rules are literally 'nobody's a pro' and 'don't worry if it isn't round', so skill doesn't matter.
Can I join without drinking alcohol?
Yes. Soft drinks are available from 500 yen.
