Price & booking: Free Team-led coaching sessions require advance application (lottery if oversubscribed). The main call closed on Sep 25; extra places for rugby, handball and blind football are open until 16:00 on Wed Oct 7. You can apply for several sports but will be selected for one at most. Everyone who applied receives a commemorative badge at the venue regardless of the draw result. The track events and stadium-plaza corners need no application — just turn up. Elementary school children must be accompanied by a guardian.
Venue & access: Yanmar Stadium Nagai & Yanmar Hanasaka Stadium (North/South Training Rooms) Walk to Nagai Park from Nagai Station (Osaka Metro Midosuji Line / JR Hanwa Line).

Why You Should Visit

A free sports day hosted by Osaka City at Yanmar Stadium Nagai in Nagai Park. Teams based in Osaka — including the Orix Buffaloes, Cerezo Osaka and Osaka Evessa — run hands-on coaching sessions (advance application required), while drop-in corners let anyone try a 50 m time trial, boccia, Mölkky, a strike-out game and more on the day. From 14:00 there is a special stage with former pro baseball pitcher Atsushi Nomi. A good day out for families who want to get moving together.

FAQ

Can I join without applying in advance?

Yes. The track activities (11:00–14:00) and the stadium plaza corners (10:15–14:00) are drop-in. Only the team-led coaching sessions require advance application.

Can children take part on their own?

Elementary school children must be accompanied by a guardian.

Is there anything I need to bring?

Indoor shoes are required for sessions held in the training rooms.

What happens if it rains?
