Why You Should Visit
An international circus show held each autumn in Iwaya, at the northern tip of Awaji Island. The 2026 edition retells Journey to the West: 16 performers from 10 countries combine ladder acts, aerial silk, contortion, baton twirling and ballet with live music and projected visuals. It runs about 70 minutes in an indoor hall with reserved seating, and there are discounted student and child tickets, making it an easy pick for families visiting Awaji from Kobe or Akashi.
