Why You Should Visit

The second Iyasaka Matsuri, an autumn festival on the seafront at Omaehama Park in Nishinomiya. "Iyasaka" is an old Japanese word meaning "ever more prosperous". Around 31 stalls line up, mostly food — burgers, tacos, bokkake yakisoba and more — plus a flea market and, new this year, a booth of specialties from Amami, Nishinomiya's sister city. The stage features Dragon Ball impersonator comedians and kids' dance groups, and a lottery with big prizes starts at 5 p.m. Entry is free and pets are welcome, making it an easy seaside day out for families and friends.
